ABOUT

Dr. Baillie Ferris is a General Surgeon based in
Ipswich, Queensland.

Dr. Baillie Ferris is an Australian trained General Surgeon with special interests in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, emergency surgery, hernia (including complex ventral hernia), gall bladder, and skin cancer surgery and is a GESA qualified Endoscopist.  He practices as a staff specialist in the Acute Surgical Unit at the Ipswich General Hospital (IGH) as well as St. Andrews Private Hospital in Ipswich, Queensland.

Dr. Baillie graduated from Griffith University in 2013 and subsequently completed nine years of training in General Surgery at various posts throughout Queensland prior to being awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.  Throughout his training Dr. Baillie has maintained a keen interest in rural service provision, teaching, and quality surgical care with compassion.

Dr. Baillie also maintains an interest in research and is a published author in multiple areas of General Surgery.
